Bookkeeper
The ideal candidate shall have 5+ years of construction accounting experience. The Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting the CEO and Vice President of Operations with various accounting functions, job cost, billing & bookkeeping. This role communicates with the appropriate team members to ensure the appropriate approvals have been received for all transactions.
Accounts Payable
Processes vendor invoices & audits for sales tax exemptions
Verifies PO invoicing against Bill of Materials
Reviews/codes/processes monthly credit card statements
Updates & maintains supplier database with Procurement Department
Updates & maintains trade partner database with Project Management Department
Monitors AP Aging report & contacts vendors to resolve any issues
Oversee accounts payable and receivable
Monitors AP email account for new invoices/check requests/credit applications
Book Keeping
Assist Project Manager with monthly reporting
Review cost reports with PMs to identify cost/projection variances
Enter sub invoices into Bill.com
Assist PM with collecting sub/supplier invoices & waivers, when requested
Monitor subcontractor compliance (executed contracts, COs, COIs, CPs)
Manage subcontractor payment distribution
Manage and process accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records
Maintain general ledger entries, coding and classification of financial transactions

Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or other business-related field
At least five years of previous experience in construction industry
An eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
Good organizational and communication skills
Able to prioritize and multi-task in fast paced environment
Able to work well with others to meet organizational deadlines
Must maintain ethical conduct and strict confidentiality
